ChiaoGoo: Nostepinne

Stop using your thumb to wind that center-pull ball of yarn. The ChiaoGoo Nostepinne (old Norwegian hand tool, which translates to Nest Stick) can do the job — without changing the twist of the yarn. It is portable and quite easy to use. Approximately 11 inches (28 cm) long, this tool has a nice smooth finish but not too smooth. Long enough to wind a large ball of worsted or even chunky yarn. The handle has loop through it so that you can hang the tool on a peg.  This birch wood nostepinne is a wonderful tool for making a center pull yarn ball. Each nostepinne is handcrafted, sanded and buffed to a glass-like finish.
